Family Owned

(Spring 2022)

Every smaller town or city has some form of family-owned businesses. These could be restaurants, flower shops, barber shops, or even a tire shop. But how long will these small stores last? The world is changing every second. Larger companies and chains are taking over these family ran occupations. In Forsyth County, GA (City of Cumming, GA) there are small businesses that have been family ran for over a decade. Some of these are now occupying what use to be another store that unfortunately didn’t make it. They might not even make it another decade as some are now selling land or even the business. Will family-owned companies out last the big corporates, or will they not survive? How long will they last in this ever changing corporate world?
